SAT & ALUK Belgium. The revamping for the existing line in Hamme

The Belgian branch of the company ALUK, a renowned brand in the field of aluminum systems, has chosen SAT and its cutting-edge solutions for the revamping of the line in Hamme.
 

The revamping project foresees the insertion of a new tunnel, the modification of the loading/unloading area and the replacement of the chain of the whole line.
 

The main modification is the one we did regarding the tunnel. The customer had previously a stainless steel tunnel, but they decided to replace it with one with Polypropylene tanks and PVC walls for a better resistance against the acid chemicals.

Moreover, the other advantage of the new tunnel we installed is represented by the pre-treatment cycle that, thanks to an alkaline etching stage, is in compliance with the QUALICOAT SPECIFICATIONS required for the SEASIDE TYPE AA1 category "Dual etching-alkaline etching and acid etching".
Moreover, thanks to the dual etching, the proposed pre-treatment cycle can also comply with the requirements of the French organization ADAL for "Qualimarine" certification.

This revamping follows the one we did in 2018, when we replaced the original booths installed in 2003 with 2 SAT high-efficiency powder booths.
 

Thanks to both the projects of 2018 and 2021, a line installed almost 10 years ago – with 2 planned and  focused interventions – has been updated and has become again highly competitive thanks to the insertion of high-technology components.
 

The retrofit projects of existing lines is a fundamental business for SAT, since it allows both to loyalize the customer and to keep the plants highly competitive throughout the years.
